Temple Onboarding Guide
Step-by-step documentation to configure seva counters, inventory, festivals, and trustee reporting on Omkaarya.
1. Temple Onboarding
When logging in for the first time, Omkaarya opens a guided setup if your temple profile is incomplete. Finish these steps to unlock live dashboard widgets:
- Navigate to Settings > Organisation to fill in the temple legal name, trust registration details, default currency, and contact information.
- Upload your primary logo in Settings > Appearance so invoices, receipts, and the devotee microsite use consistent branding.
- Invite trustees, cashiers, and priests under People > Roles with role-based permissions.
2. Seva & Puja Catalog
Configure the services devotees can book at the counter or online:
- Open Sevas and create each seva with name, category (Abhishekam, Archana, Homam, etc.), pricing, and duration.
- Set festival-specific pricing and capacity limits where needed.
- Link sevas to priests so bookings can be assigned automatically during busy days.
3. Inventory & Prasadham
Track prasadam raw materials, finished offerings, and store stock from one place:
- Single Add: Go to Inventory > Products or Prasadham > Items and add description, unit, and reorder thresholds.
- Bulk Import: Use the import center to upload an Excel template of stock items in one pass.
- Record deity ornament vault items separately under Assets / Vault with custody and check-out logs.
4. Ticket & Receipt Printing
Prepare counters for festival crowds with reliable ticket and receipt hardware:
- Navigate to Settings > Printer and select your thermal receipt or ticket printer.
- Configure ticket layout (seva name, devotee name, token number, date/time).
- Test-print from the POS counter before festival days to confirm paper size and alignment.
5. Calendar & Festivals
Keep muhurtham, events, and festival schedules visible to staff and devotees:
- Open Applications > Panchangam / calendar to publish daily timings.
- Create festival masters with schedules, linked sevas, and announcements.
- Use broadcasts to notify devotees of special darshan or booking windows.
6. Seva Counter POS
Run high-speed bookings and billing at the seva counter:
- Navigate to POS > Counter.
- Select sevas, capture devotee details (name, gotra, nakshatra when required), and issue tickets.
- Accept cash, card, or UPI; print receipts or send WhatsApp/email confirmations instantly.
- Close the day with shift reports covering hundi, donations, and counter collections.
